Karl Lagerfeld enters NFT arena
Karl Lagerfeld recently made their first foray in to NFT world through the release of Chromatik Karl and Ikonik Karl virtual figurines which both quickly sold out.
“This is a remarkable first step into the future as we pave our way into the virtual world of NFTs and digital fashion. We’re excited to add this innovative category to our portfolio and be able to inspire existing as well as new customers with this one-of-a-kind collectible,” – Pier Paolo Righi, CEO and President of KARL LAGERFELD
I was lucky enough to get hold of both before they sold out but was particularly excited about the Chromatik Karl.
The process was easy and straight forward by The Dematerialised so hats off to them for a successful first NFT launch.
I would love to see KL take this on a step from being able to see Karl in AR via iPhone / Snapchat and in to NFT’s able to be minted and available for trading via OpenSea etc.
KARL LAGERFELD has teamed up with THE DEMATERIALISED to bring consumers this exclusive first drop of collectible digital assets. The company enables consumers, creators, and brands to access, trade and utilize fashion NFTs with ease. An NFT, or non-fungible token, is a digital asset that represents an object that would exist in the physical world, like a work of art. Each NFT comes with its own certificate that proves its one-of-a-kind ownership. Think of it as proof of authenticity.
Conceived as two separate digital figurines with intricate detailing that recreate the designer’s unmistakable likeness in cartoon form, the exclusive KARL LAGERFELD NFTs are seen as a virtual extension of the brand’s playful Ikonik collection.
Here are both on my laptop… what do you think?
